Communion
In following the precedent of the New Testament (Acts 20:7) we gather every Sunday for Communion (The Lord’s Supper). In keeping with Jesus’ teaching, we serve unleavened bread representing His body and grape juice (“blood of the grape” – Deuteronomy 32:14) representing His blood. During this time we remember Jesus was crucified on a cross for our sin and His blood was shed to bring us forgiveness.
Please pick up your communion as you enter the auditorium. OfferingGod does not need our money - He is the Creator and sustainer of all things. However we are called to give back to Him. Giving helps us keep a perspective on what we have and is used by God to further the work of His church. There is an offering box as you enter the auditorium to provide an opportunity for individuals to give to God as they have prospered (1 Corinthians 16:2).
Preaching
I Corinthians 1:21, For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. Romans 10:14, How then are they to call on Him in whom they have not believed? How are they to believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher? How then are they to call on Him in whom they have not believed? How are they to believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher? Preaching is studying the Bible and applying it to our lives. Music We celebrate the goodness of the Lord through traditional and contemporary music. |
