Miss Juanita's house - click to enlarge.  The tower in the background was in the center of the tornado as it came through.  With rotted, blue tarps covering 4 or 5 layers of shingles on the house, we stripped the roof down to its deck.  Lots of rotted wood repaired...  We also stripped a layer of siding off of the walls.  Shown here, the house is ready for shingles and Tyvek.  God is so good.
BMCC is committed to outreach outside of Bucks County, PA. Each mission field that we serve is described below.

Team Bux-Mont recently got back from another trip to Alabama.  Still lots to do...

This year, we were joined by Neil, Bruce, and the Wittwer family.
We repaired/replaced a roof for Miss Juanita as well as prepared the house for siding.  We also painted Marvin's house.  Another awesome trip!

2012 Mission Trips

Birmingham, Alabama
After the devastating storms moved through Alabama, one of our brothers in Christ, Monte Brenneman, felt the call to go and minister there. He founded Next Step STORM, a disaster relief base camp in Birmingham, AL. Next Step STORM is committed to helping rebuild and get displaced people back into their homes.

BMCC has sent a total of three teams down to Birmingham, specifically in the Pratt City area, during the past year to assist with the rebuilding effort.  Additionally, the house frame from our May 2012 Help Build Hope event has been sent to Next Step STORM, and construction will begin shortly in the Pratt City area.
Last Fall, a smaller team worked on three different homes during the week of October 7th – 13th, and photos from this trip are shown to the right.  Work included dry-walling, spackling and roof repair.
